Press Release
New York (Hazbro Games, Inc.) July 13, 2006 — Hazbro Games, Inc., one of the world’s leading makers of board games, is pleased to announce today the upcoming release of Zorry!, a new twist on the classic Sorry! game inspired by soccer (football) superstar Zinedine Zidane.
“As you can imagine, Zinedine’s actions in the FIFA World Cup 2006 final were controversial,” said Hazbro CEO Mat Razzei, “but the situation he found himself in is something everyone can relate to. We thought it would be interesting and unique to capture that moment in one of our board games. Naturally, the Sorry! game was the obvious choice.”

In Sorry!, “the game of sweet revenge”, a player can bump an opponent back to the start by landing on an opposing game piece or pushing it off the board when sliding past it. “Obviously,” continued Razzei, “we thought there were some parallels between this game and what Zidane did in the World Cup and we thought it would add a new level of excitement to what was already an exciting game.” When approached by Hazbro, Zidane was enthusiastic in his support.
The game will shortly be available from retailers across North America and Europe. Zorry! is recommended for ages 16 and up. Financial details of the arrangement with Zidane are not being disclosed.
